Minecraft Server Rules

These rules exist to create a safe, fair, and welcoming space for all players. By playing on this server, you agree to follow them. Staff reserve the right to take action based on rule violations and context.

Each server also has its own additional rules. Please make sure to review them here: SMP Rules, Towny Rules, and Skyblock Rules.

1. Respect & Behavior

• Respect Others: Harassment, discrimination, bullying, or disrespectful behavior of any kind is not allowed.
• Threats & Blackmail: No doxing, DDoS threats, blackmail, or sharing malicious links.
• Impersonation: Do not impersonate staff or players in any way (signs, chat, /nick, or otherwise).
• /Nick Abuse: Do not use /nick in misleading, offensive, or inappropriate ways. If staff ask you to change it, you must comply.

2. Chat Rules

• No Spam or Flood: Excessive caps, repeated messages, or flooding chat is not allowed.
• No Chat Abuse: Abusive language, inappropriate jokes, or intentionally misleading information is prohibited.
• No Advertising: Advertising other servers, Discords, products, or services is not allowed.
• No Links: Do not post links of any kind in chat, signs, or books.

3. Fair Gameplay

• Unfair Advantages: No disallowed mods, macros, scripting, punishment evasion, or boosting.
• Approved Mods Only: Only approved mods such as Litematica or non-tracking minimaps are allowed. X-ray, freecam, and similar cheats are forbidden.
• Exploits, Bugs & Glitches: Do not abuse bugs, glitches, or exploits. Report them immediately to staff through a bug report.
• No Forced Chunk Loading: Methods that keep chunks loaded while you are not present in them are prohibited.
• Punishment Evasion: Evading punishments will result in harsher penalties on all accounts involved.

4. Building & World Etiquette

• Lag-Inducing Builds: Redstone machines, mob farms, or complex builds that could cause lag must be approved by staff.
• No Trapping Players: Do not intentionally trap players inside claims, builds, or anywhere else for any reason.

5. Economy & Trading

• Game Trading: Trading in-game content through external platforms is prohibited.
• Scamming: All trades must be fair and honest. Misleading or dishonest trades are not allowed.
• IRL Trading: Trading real-world currency or goods for in-game items or services is strictly prohibited.

6. Inappropriate Content

• Family-Friendly Environment: No NSFW content, hate symbols, or offensive material in any form related to SmokeyMC.
• Cosmetics & Naming: All usernames, skins, capes, signs, and written content must remain appropriate.

7. Account Responsibility

• You are responsible for your account and any actions taken on it. Do not share your login details or personal information.

8. Rule Enforcement & Appeals

Breaking the rules may result in suspension of chat privileges or server access. These rules help ensure a positive and safe environment.

• Previous infractions may affect the severity of future punishments.
• Good behavior over time may reduce the impact of past offenses.
• Punishments can be appealed through the Appeals Section.
