Towny Rules

Towny Rules

These rules apply specifically to the Towny server. All General Rules also apply and must be followed in addition to these Towny-specific rules.

1. General Towny Rules

  • Town Membership: Players may only be part of towns they are legitimately invited to. Using alternate methods to bypass this is not allowed.
  • No Claim Blocking: Claims may not be placed in a way that blocks the expansion of other towns.
  • Town Spacing: Towns must be at least 10 chunks apart unless both mayors agree otherwise.
  • Claim Boosting: Filling towns with “throwaway” accounts to gain additional claim blocks is prohibited.
  • No Macros or AFK Exploits: Macros of any kind are not allowed. This includes AFK fishing or automated farming.
  • Account Limits: Players are limited to 4 accounts that can generate income (1 main + 3 alts). Additional accounts may AFK farms/spawners but may not generate any income.

2. Town Governance

  • Mayor Authority: Mayors control their towns and may set rules, provided they do not conflict with server rules. Any disputes or higher-level changes must be discussed with server staff by the mayor or a high-ranking town official.
  • Plot Evictions:
    • Players may not be evicted from plots unless they have been offline for at least 2 weeks.
    • Plots with no progress (no blocks placed, even a chest) may be reclaimed after 7 days.
    • If evicting a player, mayors must allow time for the player to remove or retrieve their items.
  • Town Rule Approval: Town-specific rules must be approved by a high-ranking staff member. Open a general ticket in Discord or ask Blake when online for approval.

3. Siege Wars

  • No Exploits: Using glitches, unbalanced mechanics, or unfair methods to gain an advantage in Siege Wars is strictly prohibited.
  • Fair Combat: Players must engage in Siege Wars fairly. Spawn camping, claim blocking, or using alts to artificially sway battles is not allowed.
  • Respect Siege Boundaries: Players may not interfere in Sieges they are not directly involved in.
  • Infrastructure Protection: Sieges must focus on the event itself. Destroying unrelated builds or towns outside of the Siege is not permitted.
